ABOUT
Painting as a direct, human gesture.

Alessandro Di Maio is an Italian painter whose artistic exploration moves between figuration, emotional tension, and symbolic suggestion. Faces, bodies, and fragments of everyday life become a means of investigating inner states rather than merely representing appearances.
His paintings often balance intimacy and unease: the image remains accessible, yet never entirely resolved. Gestures, gazes, and recurring motifs create a space where memory, instinct, and vulnerability can coexist.
His artistic practice approaches painting as an immediate language — direct, physical, and open to transformation. Across different subjects and atmospheres, his work continually returns to a central interest: the possibility of revealing what is felt before it can be explained.
Alongside his painting practice, he has developed a professional and entrepreneurial career in communication and design. He is the founder of bradfarm, a creative agency specializing in communication, branding, and visual design, as well as other entrepreneurial ventures operating in the fields of communication, digital services, and innovation.
